Idun Eustace
BA Hons Painting
Painter/Art Tutor
Inspiration for my work come from various origins - I sometimes identify with memories of places & people, perhaps my from childhood, or it may relate to something I see while out walking. Occasionally I will spot a brick wall, shapes on a paving slab or a repair on a road surface that will translate well into a painting. Paintings may happen spontaneously or take years ie: a memory of a place may need time to come to fruition. I have in recent years found that simplifying my work is the way to go, designwise as well as in using a more simplified palette - the journey has been long and sometimes painful & difficult.
My work can be found in private collections in the UK & abroad.
I have lectured in Oil painting and Life drawing since 1998.
I exhibit regularly.
In 2016, 17 &18, I was pre-selcted for the NEAC & ROI, Mall galleries.
You may view my work in my studio by appointment or at the bi-annual Art Fair at Wimbledon Art Studios in May & November.
