|I work with installation, video, photography and print as methods to explore our humanity and the way we use our resources. The space and light around the work are very important and have a defining influence. I work through the materials using their intrinsic properties and related processes, developing ideas and associations as the work progresses. My aim is to make what is already there more visible, at times capturing what we don't normally see, light, wind, air, the potency of a colour. Illusions such as floating and evanescence reoccur in my work making further links to magic and the metaphysical. I am inspired by the everyday or ordinary life and the need to find meaning in our lives.|
I trained at Kingston University and at the Royal Academy, London. I have exhibited throughout Britain including Chichester Cathedral, Wysing Arts and Royal British Society of Sculptors, London and undertaken residencies in the UK, USA and Spain.
