I knit moths and frame them as specimens in the style of a natural history museum. Each moth is based on a real species. I use Shetland Wool for all my work, they are made using a combination of fair isle and intarsia knitting. As a knitter I'd always thought of moths as tiny brown things that eat wool but once I discovered their amazing colours and patterns I thought they were perfect for knitting.
