I am a printmaker and artist working mainly in screen print. I am based in Bristol U.K. and currently am a member of Spike print Studio.
Many of my screen prints feature mathematical graphs or patterns. I also use the symbol of a corset as a metaphor for the mental discipline imposed by mathematics. The end result, for the mathematician, will often be elegant, concise and beautiful, but to achieve that, she/he must conform to the conventions and logic of their subject.
In 2007, while still a student, I was short listed for the Jerwood Drawing Prize. Other exhibitions include, the 7th International Mini Print Exhibition organised by the Printmakers Council, the Royal West of England Academy Autumn Exhibition in 2009 and Wrexham Print International in 2011. I also make artist's books which I print and bind by hand. These occasionally appear in exhibitions including "White heat" organised by Kaleid Editions in London.
I have also exhibited my work in the Bristol offices of Beachcroft (Law) and Coutts Bank as well as TLT Law in London. I regularly donate work for charity auctions to raise money for charities such as Amnesty International, The Prince's Trust and the British Heart Foundation .
