Landscape is my starting point I look at light on plants trees and the surface of water, and the shapes and and shadows that float on the surface of changing fragile and decomposing nature. I use the structure and rhythm of geometry and pattern. working with colour ,paint and photographic material. I respond to the demands of each material and am now using images of photographic collage on ceramic tiles, and am currently making small acrylic paintings.
I work with the effects of over layering to explore illusions of depth and the sense of mystery inherent in the process of looking.
I have exhibited widely and for the last ten years have worked largely to commission completing work for the Bank of England, British Telecom, Paintings in Hospitals, Homerton Hospital, British airways, Central Middlesex Hospital, Broomfield Hospital, Reuters, and have exhibited at the William Morris gallery , Pumphouse gallery, Royal free Hospital,among others |
