I see making art as a way of learning about and communicating with the circumstances and the environment that surrounds me. My practice involves multimedia installations which are inspired by the language, social conventions or the architecture of the culture I am embraced by at the time. The stories I translate into installations often include language and sound and frequently utilise traditional materials such as plaster, metal, wood, paper and fabric. Other key elements in my work are the process and time in the making what is mirrored in the final piece and reflect the thought process hat triggered the project. During the timeconsuming process of making, I am learning and reflecting on the project I am working on. |
